Meet Tazin Banu, LCSW (she/her)

Relational. Culturally-Responsive.
Centering Collective Liberation.

I’m a native New Yorker and the daughter of Bangladeshi immigrants, with over five years of experience supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ adults navigating identity, trauma, grief, and life’s many transitions.

My decision to become a therapist was shaped by lived experiences of growing up in communities where stigma, socioeconomic disparities, and limited access to culturally-affirming care were the norm. My practice as a Bengali therapist in New York City is rooted in anti-racism, intersectionality, and the belief that everyone deserves a space where they are seen fully and without judgment.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process, one where you don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. I meet you where you are and walk alongside you, honoring your lived experiences and the wisdom you already hold.

How you feel about your therapist matters, so it’s okay to take your time deciding if we’re a good fit.
